Media distorted my words on polls : KTR

Hyderabad, Sept.30 : Municipal minister KT Rama Rao today denied some newspapers of reporting that GHMC polls to be held after  November 11. He clarified that he never said of that which was distorted by some newspapers.

Actually what I said was that the polls for GHMC may be held anytime after November second week KTR said,  There is no truth in some news reports that the polls for GHMC to be held after November 11 he said,  What I said was something and papers write different.

The media should check my words before writing or publishing the reports,  he suggested.  As per GHMC act,  the polls are to be held and the TRS leaders have to be ready he said.  It is the  matter for election Commission to decide on the polls.

What I said that the polls may be preponed he felt.  The minister said in yesterday meeting that GHMC polls likely to be advanced by two months.

He also appealed to the TRS party leadership bro get ready and conduct wide campaign welfare  and development program.

The minister has said that the party has to coordinate fir effective campaign on the development programs.  He also said that the TRS has to make efforts to win forthcoming  MLA,  MLC polls and GHMC polls.  (NSS)
