KCR Govt. holds festivals: Dayakar

Hyderabad, Oct 10 : Panchayat Raj Minister, E Dayakar Rao  today said that Telangana state is conducting Bathukamma,  Ramzan and Christmas as state festivals.  At Palakurty in Warangal district he distributed Sarees to women to mark Bathukamma festival.
On the occasion,  the minister said that the state government treats all religions equally as it offered state festival status to Bathukamma in 2017 after state formation.  Chief Minister,  K Chandrasekhar Rao has launched Bathukamma the floral festival for women  to celebrate it on grand scale.
No other states in our country are giving such saries among the women he said.  The minister said that the sarees are being gifted by KCR government to mark Bathukamma festival across the state.  The women can get their series and celebrate the Bathukamma festival following corona protocols he said.
The KCR government is implementing several welfare schemes like Kalyaan, Lakshmi,  Shadi Mubarak, pensions, free power to farming, Rythu bandhu, rythu bhima, two bedroom housing and others, he said.  As many as 287 varieties of designs of saries are produced by the KCR government he said.
The government has been offering the sarees by spending Rs 317 cr  to mark Bathukamma festival he said.  No other state government offers such welfare programs as being implemented by the TRS government he claimed.  This time a wide range of golden,  silver border and other apt designed sarees were kept ready on the occasion.
As many as 20 lakhs of poor families are getting the saries bout one crore for Bathukamma festival.
